The Artist: Rian Withaar
Rian Withaar was born in Leeuwarden in the Netherlands. She has painted since the age of 10 and her great inspiration is her father the landscape artist Reint Withaar. Rian studied at several Dutch art schools and her favourite themes are nature and flowers. As an artist she is very creative with colours and materials and enjoys working in many different media techniques including oil, acrylic and pastels as well as with fabrics. Today Rian has her own gallery in Elburg and has exhibited in various towns and cities in her native country.
